The Redhead Pond Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is open year-round for day use for wildlife viewing and hiking activities. Visitors do not need a permit to enter and use the WMA.

Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.
Wildlife Viewing on Redhead Pond WMA
During Winter, Redhead ducks are usually on the WMA. Other duck species including grebes and Black-crowned Night-Heron also winter on the WMA. Black-bellied whistling ducks and Black-necked stilts are known to nest on the WMA.
