The Redhead Pond Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is open year-round for day use for wildlife viewing and hiking activities. Visitors do not need a permit to enter and use the WMA.

Hiking

Hiking Permitted

Hiking is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas. Since potable water is not available on many of the Wildlife Management Areas, it is a good idea to bring plenty of drinking water.

Hiking on Redhead Pond WMA

Visitors may hike around the pond on the WMA. There are no improved trails and visitors may have to walk through tall grass and muddy ground.

Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.
