- Normal business hours are weekdays, 8:00am to 5:00pm except for state holidays and special events.
- Trails and grounds available for public use can be accessed 7 days a week from dawn to dusk.
- The visitor's center building is available only upon approved reservation.

Hiking
Hiking is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas. Since potable water is not available on many of the Wildlife Management Areas, it is a good idea to bring plenty of drinking water.
Hiking on established paths are welcome. Some areas can be very wet, sturdy footwear is recommended.
Wildlife Viewing
Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.
The diversity of the Nature Center's terrain provides habitat for many species of birds and animals.
