Texas Nature Trackers Biological Inventory Team Project (BIT)

A Biological Inventory Team is a group of enthusiastic and knowledgeable experts (from groups such as Texas Master Naturalists; native plant, amphibian/reptile, and bird societies; and other nature organizations) who are able to assist landowners and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) biologists by conducting surveys of plants and animals on private property.

To sign up to volunteer on a team go to the TPWD Volunteer page and enter Biological Inventory Team in the search by the keyword box.

We are always looking for team leaders, if this interests you please contact Marsha May (marsha.may@tpwd.texas.gov) or (800) 792-1112 ext. 8062
