Palo Pinto Mountains State Park Media Kit
Palo Pinto Mountains State Park sits on more than 4,800 acres of former ranch land in southeast Stephens and southwest Palo Pinto counties, about 75 miles west of the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
The rugged Palo Pinto Mountains landscape features plateaus with long views, sheltered canyons and the 90-acre Tucker Lake. Once fully developed, the park will offer hiking, camping, fishing, stargazing and multiuse trails for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders.
Although the park is still under construction, visitors will have a sneak peek opportunity to experience it early during first day hikes on Jan. 1. Day pass reservations are recommended for the public.
