AUSTIN —Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game wardens are hosting a nationwide Train the Trainer Officer Water Survival (OWS) course for water safety enforcement officer trainers. Officers from Texas, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Alaska, New Mexico and Arizona will be attending the course taking place July 21-25 at the School for the Deaf pool facility.
Austin – Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game wardens made 58 boating under the influence arrests and contacted some 30,000 recreational boaters over the July Fourth weekend.

AUSTIN — One of two men arrested last fall for assaulting two Texas game wardens following a high-speed pursuit in Limestone County has been sentenced to 30 years in prison following guilty pleas to five felonies stemming from the case.
