Toyota Texas Bass Classic Brings Texas Sized Entertainment to Conroe

CONROE – The Lone Star Convention and Expo Center will once again host the Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC), bringing an incredible array of country music’s most talented acts to Conroe. Eli Young Band will start the weekend’s concerts on Friday, Oct. 4, followed by Southern Slang and Lee Brice before headliners, The Band Perry, on Saturday, Oct. 5. Closing the event Sunday, Oct. 6 will be Thompson Square and Gloriana.

AUSTIN – Several errors in the 2013-14 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Outdoor Annual could leave some hunters scratching their heads. The mistakes were uncovered after the booklet, considered the “go-to” summary of hunting and fishing regulations for Texas sportsmen, had already gone to press.

Texas Dove Season Prospects Bright

AUSTIN –Texas dove hunters should see plenty of opportunity this fall as conditions are shaping up for an above average season, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Dove season kicks off Sunday, Sept. 1 across most of the state.

State Agencies Asking Texans to Share How Drought Has Affected Their Lives

AUSTIN — What does your Texas drought look like? With more than 97 percent of Texas suffering from drought conditions, that’s what the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) want to know. This coalition of state agencies today launched an interactive public awareness campaign inviting Texans to submit personal photos capturing what the drought looks like for them and how it has impacted their lives.

28 New State Game Wardens Heading to the Field

TPWD Taking Public Comment on Use of Dogs to Trail Wounded Deer
