STONEWALL — Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site presents a day of family fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, featuring adventure and hands-on experiences for all ages. Representatives from a dozen central Texas state parks and state natural areas will be on hand to showcase the area’s rich natural and cultural resources.
HOUSTON – Texas Outdoor Family, a Texas State Park family camping program, will host spring and summer family camping workshops at Brazos Bend, Huntsville and Galveston Island state parks to teach families the basics of camping and enjoying the great outdoors.

LIVINGSTON – Campers planning to visit Lake Livingston State Park in the Pineywoods can now select a specific campsite while making reservation under a one-year pilot program introduced recently. The site-specific reservations policy is unprecedented in the Texas State Park system, which has always operated on a first-come, first-served basis when securing a campsite.
