AUSTIN — On Sept. 28, Texas State Parks is partnering with the Texas Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities to host Deaf Outdoor Day Events. Deaf Awareness Week celebrates the culture, history and rights of deaf people.
AUSTIN — Thanks to a recent acquisition by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), 630 acres in the Texas Hill County have been preserved adjacent to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. The property, which had the potential to hold a subdivision with hundreds of new homes, will now become a part of Enchanted Rock’s iconic park, offering new recreational opportunities at one of the most popular and visited sites in the state.

AUSTIN— September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and 16 Texas State Parks will be hosting hikes to shed light on this issue, which affects many veterans and their loved ones. AUSTIN – Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) graduated the 66th Texas Game Wardens and Texas State Park Police cadet class May 31 at Bannockburn Baptist Church in Austin. The class included 31 game wardens and 10 state park police officers.
