AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is closing TX-7 in Galveston Bay and TX-20 in Lavaca Bay to commercial and recreational oyster harvest beginning Monday, Feb. 19, 2018.

Public Meeting Scheduled Tuesday to Discuss Big Tree Natural Area
ROCKPORT— The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will hold a meeting next week to collect public input for the development of new facilities at Big Tree Natural Area at Goose Island State Park. The natural area is an 80-acre site that expands the existing location of the famous “Big Tree.”

Invasive Giant Salvinia Found at Lake Nacogdoches
AUSTIN – Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) inland fisheries staff found a total of 30 acres of invasive giant salvinia in multiple locations at Lake Nacogdoches Feb. 5.
