AUSTIN – As Texans gear up for Labor Day weekend and the opening of early teal hunting season on Sept. 14, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) urges boaters, paddlers and waterfowl hunters to do their part to protect the Texas lakes we love from aquatic invasive species.
AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) recognized Texas Game Wardens James Adcock and Allison “Alli” Hatten at the August Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission meeting as award recipients by the National Association of Safe Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and the Association of Midwest Fish and Game Law Enforcement Officers (AMFGLEO), respectively.

AUSTIN – This past Memorial Day weekend, Texas Game Wardens patrolled Texas’ many waterbodies and assisted fellow first responders with rescues and recoveries due to strong storms and extreme heat. Wardens noted a decrease in boating incidents and citations filed, but an increase in drownings and warnings issued.
