Drowning Victim Recovered on Calaveras Lake

SAN ANTONIO — Authorities this morning recovered a body on Calaveras Lake believed to be a missing San Antonio man whose boat capsized around midnight Saturday.

Native Plant Restoration Set for July 25 at Lake Conroe

CONROE, Texas — This Saturday morning, July 25 on Lake Conroe, state fisheries biologists and volunteers will plant about 150 native plants in protective cages, part of a statewide effort to restore lake vegetation that improves water quality, prevents erosion, and provides high quality habitat (food and shelter) for fish and other wildlife.

Tyler Game Warden Named Boating Officer of the Year

AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Game Warden Chris Green of Tyler was recognized May 28 as the Southern States Boating Law Administrators’ Association Officer of the Year. The SSBLA is comprised of 17 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
