Continued Lack of Rain Forces Suspension of Operations at Dundee Fish Hatchery

ATHENS—Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) officials have announced that operations at the Dundee State Fish Hatchery near Wichita Falls will be suspended effective immediately due to a lack of sufficient water.

Lesser Prairie-Chicken Aerial Survey Begins

LUBBOCK – This spring, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will collaborate with state fish and wildlife agencies from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado, West Ecosystems, Inc., and Texas Tech University to conduct a large-scale aerial survey for lesser prairie-chicken booming grounds across the High Plains region in all five states.
