AUSTIN – This season, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Big Time Texas Hunts program is awarding 10 lucky winners with premium guided hunt packages, offering some of the very best hunting opportunities in Texas.

The program, which issues permits for drawn hunts on both public and private lands throughout Texas, is now accepting applications for a shot at almost 10,000 permits in more than 60 high quality hunt categories.
AUSTIN— This summer, Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine kicks off its fourth annual Great Outdoor Scavenger Hunt (GOSH). Participants can choose from 35 locations in seven regions for chances to win prizes from Buc-ee’s, Whole Earth Provisions Co., the Texas Historical Commission and more.
AUSTIN, TX – Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) received confirmation of a new case of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in a deer breeding facility in Sutton County. This case marks the first detection of the disease in the county.
AUSTIN — Enrollment in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Managed Lands Deer Program (MLDP) is now open for the 2023–24 hunting season. Open enrollment for the MLDP Conservation Option runs April 2 through June 15; the Harvest Option opens May 1 and ends Sept. 1.
AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Community Archery Program is joining forces with Inks Lake State Park on April 22 to help the public “Explore Bowhunting.” The event gives participants an opportunity to learn more about hunting with a bow and get a jump on preparations for the new fall season.
