Big Bend Ranch State Park, Terlingua Community Garden Host 11th Annual Green Scene Festival Oct. 26-27

TERLINGUA – The Terlingua Community Garden, part of the Big Bend Citizens Alliance, is partnering with Big Bend Ranch State Park (BBRSP) to host the 11th annual Green Scene Festival. In addition to education and demonstrations related to sustainability, BBRSP is providing a special presentation related to dark sky preservation.

Early Voting Begins Monday; Constitutional Amendment Supporting State, Local Parks and Historic Sites on Ballot

AUSTIN—Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 21, and Texans will have the opportunity to vote on 10 constitutional amendments, including Proposition 5. If approved, Prop 5 would guarantee that revenue received from the collection of existing state sales taxes on sporting goods is appropriated to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and the Texas Historical Commission (THC).

EL PASO, TX – Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site invites the public to come celebrate its 25th Annual Interpretive Fair Saturday, Oct. 19, 8 a.m. — 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 20, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. All park entrance fees will be waived, and the event is free to attend.
