MOODY – Mother Neff State Park, the first official Texas state park, will undergo an extreme makeover in coming months that will include a new headquarters, new campground and other amenities.
FORT DAVIS – Starting Sept. 3, Davis Mountains State Park will be temporarily closed while Texas Parks and Wildlife staff undertakes a major upgrade of the park’s utility system. The closure will last through March 1, 2014.

With more than 97 percent of Texas suffering from drought conditions, that’s what the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) want to know.
