Operation Game Thief (OGT), Texas’ wildlife crime-stoppers program, has launched Tip411—a new mobile app, text line and online web form that makes reporting wildlife crimes more accessible than ever.
AUSTIN— Governor Greg Abbott announced the appointment of Paul Foster as the chair of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. Additionally, John A. McCall Jr. O.D. was appointed to the commission for a term set to expire Feb. 1, 2031.

AUSTIN —Recent testing has detected Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in mammal species including foxes, raccoons, striped skunks and domestic cats collected in Deaf Smith, Hansford, Lubbock, Ochiltree, Parmer and Randall Counties.

National Invasive Species Awareness Week, scheduled for Feb. 24 – 28, is an initiative to raise awareness of the threats of invasive species and provide solutions on how to prevent their spread.
