TPWD Hosts Workshop About Managing Land for Wildlife

HOUSTON — Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will host its annual "Managing Your Land for Wildlife" workshop on March 12 and it will be at the Tracy Gee Community Center, (3599 Westcenter), here in Houston. The event, while open to any landowners, is aimed at area residents who own or manage rural property outside of Houston.

Old Tunnel Bat Volunteers Needed

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — Central Texans who want to learn more about bats and help teach others about these creatures of the night are being urged to volunteer at Old Tunnel Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The former railroad tunnel, now a state Wildlife Management Area, offers evening bat flight viewings for visitors during warmer months.
