AUSTIN— Learn the unique history of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Buffalo Soldiers program during the Outdoor Heritage Day at Zilker Park from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. April 27.

This free, family-friendly event showcases frontier life more than 150 years ago. The Buffalo Soliders will set up camp and host a variety of activities including cane pole fishing, candle making, frontier baseball and animal tracking skills.

The event will be held in at Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
