Annual Spring Outdoor Celebration Brings the Outdoors to Mont Belvieu

MONT BELVIEU – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is inviting the public to take part in the free 2nd Annual Spring Outdoor Celebration from noon to 5 p.m. at the Mont Belvieu City Park east of Houston on April 22nd. This celebration of the outdoors offers a chance for kids and families to participate in and learn more about fun activities in the natural environment.

Texas Game Wardens Uncover Massive Illegal Seafood Network in Houston

AUSTIN — A Houston restaurateur and two local restaurant companies stand accused of operating an illegal seafood network that funneled nearly 28,000 pounds of unlawfully-caught finfish through their establishments at a profit estimated at more than $400,000.

Teen Arrested in Connection with Shooting Death of Bald Eagle

AUSTIN — On Feb. 22, an American bald eagle was shot in north Harris County, Texas, near White Oak Bayou. The eagle was one of two adult eagles that have actively nested in this area for several years.
