La temporada del pargo rojo (huachinango) en aguas federales cierra el 1 de Septiembre

AUSTIN – El Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) cerrará la temporada para la pesca recreativa privada del pargo rojo (huachinango) en aguas federales a las 11:59 p.m. la 1 de septiembre. Después de la fecha de cierre, los pescadores pueden continuar recolectando hasta cuatro pargos rojos (huachinangos) por día con un límite de longitud mínima de 15 pulgadas de las aguas del estado de Texas.

Federal Red Snapper Season Closes Sept. 1

AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will close the private recreational angler red snapper season in federal waters at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 1. After the closing date, anglers may continue to harvest up to four red snapper per day with a 15-inch minimum length limit from Texas state waters.

Governor Names Jeff Hildebrand as Chairman, Appoints William Doggett to TPW Commission

AUSTIN— Governor Greg Abbott named Jeff Hildebrand Chair of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission Thursday and appointed William “Leslie” Doggett as a commission member. Both appointments are effective Aug. 31, with Doggett’s term set to expire Feb. 1, 2029.
