Get trail ready with a ranger! Learn how to beat the heat and stay safe during your summer adventures.
We have amazing trails at Atlanta State Park and we'd love for you to explore them- with summer heat safety in mind. The park offers over 4.5 miles of hiking! We can help you find the trail that is right for you. Park rangers will be set up at headquarters with tips for how to beat the heat and stay safe outside during your summer outdoor adventures. We'll have our packs with us so you can see what a ranger brings on the trails.
When: 1:30 - 3pm

Accessibility: Restrooms and parking are available at Headquarters. Path to program is concrete and pavement.
Atlanta State Park has one all-terrain wheelchair available for visitor use at no additional charge. Please contact park headquarters to check availability at (903) 796-6476.
Cost: Free with paid park admission ($3 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
