On this guided stroll, we’ll point out details of the park that are frequently overlooked or altogether invisible. Balmorhea State Park is home to five endangered species, has water “dripping” with mystique, and boasts a rich and varied history.
This park is full of delights for the senses and wonders you can only see if you know where to look, so come explore them with us!
- Difficulty level: Easy- the 0.4 mile round-trip path is wheelchair accessible and mostly flat/paved
- Cost: Free with park entry. It is highly recommended that you make day pass reservations in advance to ensure your admittance into the park. You can reserve your day passes at our website or by calling (512) 389-8900. There is no need to reserve your spot on the tour.
- Meet: In the double-arched shaded area of the group hall (beside the pool restrooms)
- Dress: In comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
