Arch(eology) in the park

Join Park Archaeologist Tim for a tour of an active excavation site. Learn about his findings and the Indigenous people who called Big Bend Ranch home.

When: Wednesday, November 25, 10 am.  

Meet: West Entrance Picnic Area, located 28.3 miles west of the Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 19.3 miles east of Fort Leaton SHS. Please arrive 10 minutes before the program starts.

What to expect: Visitors will be walking through an active excavation site with rocky, uneven terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear and be prepared to stand and walk throughout the entire duration of the program.
