Our Nearest Star (Solar Viewing Program)

Join Ranger Alex for an up-close view of the Sun!

The Sun, we see it every day, but what exactly does it do? Join a ranger to discuss the importance of the star of our solar system. Telescope viewing will be available for those who want a closer look at the Sun. 

Time: 10:00 AM

Where: Barton Warnock Visitor Center. 

Bring: Water, hat, and sunglasses. 

Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
