International Observe the Moon Night 🌙

Join Ranger Omar under the glow of the full moon and discover what makes Big Bend Ranch State Park such a special place!

Join Ranger Omar around the fire to chat about the Moon's importance. We will share stories about the moon and dispel common myths. There will also be time to view the moon through a telescope.

When: Friday, September 18, 7:30 pm 

Where: West Contrabando Trailhead. Located on FM 170 (River Road), approximately 7.1 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 39.9 miles from Fort Leaton State Historic Site.

Bring:

  • Water
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Chair
  • Bug spray 

 

Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
