Join a ranger for a guided walk/hike and connect to the natural beauty, the history, and the future of the new Bear Creek State Park.

This excursion will take visitors on a 2-hour (moderate level) walk/hike that highlights the natural attractions of Bear Creek, like prairies and woodlands ecosystems, spring pools, native plants and animals, and hill country views. Participants should expect and come prepared for off-trail hiking. Portions of the walk will be over rocky, unstable ground.  Please note: Bear Creek State Park is currently in the planning and development stage.  The site is primitive; no utilities or facilities are currently available.  

Meet:  Entry gate located at 2503 County Road 349, Concan, TX 78838

Bring: Water, camera, binoculars, sunscreen, insect repellent, long pants, good hiking shoes, layers
