Birding 101

Learn the basics of birding and what makes birdwatching such a popular hobby. No experience required!

Join us for an introduction into birding as hobby.  After an overview of techniques, we will go into the park and dive into the fascinating world of birds.  All materials will be supplied, but personal binoculars are encouraged.

• Bring: Water, comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing; Binoculars are suggested but will be provided.
• Meet: Park Headquarters, Tram Turnaround
• Registration:  Attendance is limited. Reserve your spot online.
• Cost: Entry fee is $5 for ages 13 & older and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass.)
