First Day Hike -- C.C.C. our History!

Celebrate the New Year by learning about the young men that built this park nearly 100 years ago!

Join us for a 1-mile hike to learn about the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), Company 854! We’ll meet at the CCC Stone Bridge to learn about the Civilian Conservation Corps and their contributions to Blanco State Park. Afterward, we’ll take a one mile walk to admire the beautiful stone structures built by the CCC.

The walk is approx. 1-mile on mostly level and paved ground

Meet:  At the CCC Stone Bridge

Bring/Wear: Water, hat, and other layers as needed for comfort as well as comfortable shoes, if walking. 

Cost:  Free with paid park admission. Day passes are $5 for adults, youth ages 12 and under are free.
