Walk off that Thanksgiving turkey with a guided history walk!
Join Ranger Katy for a post-Thanksgiving stroll through Blanco State Park. We will explore the lasting legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and admire the historic structures they built that still stand today. Join us and learn what daily life was like for the young men who helped shape the park nearly a century ago.
This walk is ~1 mile long with mild elevation gain and sturdy ground throughout.
Who: the whole family!
Meet: Near the CCC stone bridge (After stopping at HQ, take a right at the stop sign and drive straight to the CCC bridge, located next to the Bindseil City Park entrance)
Bring: Water, bug spray, sunscreen, weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy shoes.
Cost: Free with park admission. Adults: $5, Children 12 and under: Free!
