Join us for a short and easy guided hike.

Join Ranger Rena for a guided hike along the Pumphouse Trail where you will learn about some of the many edible and medicinal plants that grow wild in Texas, pause to look for wildlife in the Wildlife Viewing Station, and view the original 1933 Civilian Conservation Corps-built pumphouse for which the trail was named. This easy hike will be on a trail of level ground. After the hike, participants can opt to stay for a fire and cowboy/girl coffee.  

  • Meet: Meet at the Pumphouse Trailhead
  • Bring:  Water and a sun hat or sunglasses.  
  • Cost:  Free with a paid park pass. Daily park pass rates are $5 for adults and youth ages 13 and older.
