Come and join us for a prairie hike on the Gnarly Root Trail!
- During this hike you can learn about the endangered Blackland Prairie Ecoregion that is part of the park!
- Make sure to wear good closed-toed shoes with a grip, and watch your step, as the Gnarly Root Trail has a lot of tree roots above ground!
Where: Meet at the flagpole next to headquarters.

Cost: Park programs are open to the public and free with a paid park entrance fee of $4 per person ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are always free! Park entry is free with the Texas State Parks Pass. No need to register, just show up!
