Little Hike - Birding For Beginners

Join expert birders from Bastrop Audubon Society, Texas Master Naturalists and Bastrop Bird City to see how many different birds we can find!

Everyone is welcome to come try out birding with friendly expert birders! Join us on a short one mile hike in Buescher State Park on the Pine Gulch Trail. There will be extra binoculars on a first come first served basis for borrowing during the program if you don't have your own. It will be a fun time with some great people, so come out and join a fun group on an easy hike and we will see how many birds we can identify! 

Meet at the Scenic Overlook at Buescher State Park. Limited parking available so please carpool if you can. 

Bring: Bottled water, wear weather appropriate clothing for the heat and sun, binoculars if you have them. 

The hike does have a few hilly sections and rocky tread.
