Join the Buffalo Soldiers as we head out on the trail to help celebrate a remote but storied place called Horsehead Crossing.
Horsehead Crossing was a treacherous crossing of the Pecos River northeast of present day Fort Stockton. It was a crossroads of the Buffalo Soldiers, Comanches, Kiowa, and the Texas Rangers. In the 1850's the Butterfield Stagecoach crossed here and later it was used by Charles Goodnight and Oliver Loving to move cattle north.
Join Living Historians from across Texas as we celebrate the rich cultural history of this remote but important place in Texas!
