First Day Guided Hike

Join a ranger as we celebrate the start of 2027 on the trail!
Where: Pine Ridge Trailhead
Trail Info: Moderate hike. Total distance is 1.3 miles. Terrain consists of uneven ground, moderate elevation changes, narrow paths, and creeks with metal bridge crossings.
Accessibility: Parking is available at trailhead. Overflow parking is located in the day use area directly across the park road from the trail head. Nearest restrooms and water fountains are located at park headquarters.
When: 9 AM
What to Bring:
- Water
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Bug spray
Dress for the weather and wear shoes for hiking! Terrain is moderate; bring a walking stick or trekking poles if you want extra stability.
Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
