Hooks and Rods

No fishing rod? No problem! Borrow one from us and fish in Saw Mill Pond.

All ages are invited to take advantage of our free Tackle Loaner Program. We'll be set up right by the water with fishing rods for you to borrow and bait for you to use. Not sure how to tie a fishing knot? Never fear! A ranger can show you a simple knot or two. 

Where: Fishing Pier at Saw Mill Pond
Bring: Drinking water, sun protection, bug spray… and a camera to capture your catch!
Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
