Hooks and Rods

Just like a Fishin' Friday, but on a Saturday! No fishing rod? No problem! Borrow one from us and fish in Saw Mill Pond.

All ages are invited to take advantage of our free Tackle Loaner Program. We’ll be set up right by the water with fishing rods for you to borrow and bait for you to use (while supplies last). If you're new to fishing, a ranger will be there to show you the basics. We can even teach you a fishing knot or two!

Where: Fishing Pier.

Bring: Drinking water, sun protection, bug spray… and a camera to capture your catch!

Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
