Skins and Skulls

Curious about critters? Come check out this interactive wildlife display to learn about the animals who call Caddo Lake home.

Have you ever wondered what bobcat fur feels like? You’ll have the chance to find out that and more with our collection of skins and skulls. Come and go as you please and learn about a variety of local wildlife from a ranger. If you think you’re familiar with the local critters, put your knowledge to the test and see if you can correctly identify the skulls on display. No prizes will be awarded, but you'll get bragging rights. All ages are welcome!

*No live animals will be displayed*

When: 1:30 -3:30 PM

Where: Park Headquarters - we'll be outside if the weather is nice! 

Accessibility: Parking, restrooms and water fountains are all available at park headquarters. 

What to Bring:

Water/Hat/Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Bug spray

Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.

Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on the Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
