Guided Hike- North Prong Loop

This is hard hike folks...

Ranger- Led Hike: North Prong to South Prong 

This is one of Caprock Canyons most scenic areas. This ranger- led hike will begin at the North Prong Parking Lot and follow the trail up to the Primitive camping area, through the Upper North Prong. Along the way, we will pause to explore and discuss the uniqueness of Fern Cave. 

From there, the hike will continue down through the canyon, ending at South Prong Parking Lot. (A short walk back to your vehicles at North Prong Parking Lot).

This hike offers a great opportunity to experience the landscapes, learn about the natural and cultural history of the area, and enjoying Caprock Canyons with guidance from a park ranger.   

1. INCLUDED WITH PARK ENTRANCE FEE
2. BRING A GALLON OF WATER PER PERSON
3. DRESS APPROPRIATLY
4. 7 MILES ROUND TRIP 
5. DIFFICULT HIKE!!!!
