Beep-Beep! Join us for a campfire talk as we explore the speedy life of the roadrunner!
Roadrunners scatter the park here at Cedar Hill, quickly darting from shrub to shrub looking for lizards to snack on. Join us with Ranger Mikaila as we investigate this elusive bird that roams the prairie here at Cedar Hill State Park. During this ranger-led program, we will dive into the life of the roadrunner, exploring what they eat, where they live, and just how fast these creatures can run!
When: Friday, March 20th, 2026 from 4:00pm-5:00pm
Where: Fire Pit and Penn Farm
Limited seating provided: Bring a camp chair or blanket if you have one.
Bring: Water and a snack if you need one and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
