Sat, April 26, 2025
Will McDaniel
(214) 738-2397

Become a scientist and help study the plants and animals of our park!

Join Ranger Mikaila for a guided hike on the Talala Trail and learn how to use the I-Naturalist app on your smartphone to identify and record the living world around you!

Citizen science is research that uses data gathered by the public. For example, scientists can look at where and when plants and animals have been seen to better understand where they live and how many of them there are. The observations you make on this hike can make a difference in understanding and protecting nature in Texas!

Where: Penn Farm Parking Lot

Bring: Water, a smartphone or tablet, and a snack if you need one.
