Enjoy an early morning hike with a Ranger

Calling all early bird hikers!
 
Enjoy the cool morning air and chat with a ranger during this winter sunrise hike. During this ranger-led hike, we will enjoy the early morning twilight and soak in some beautiful views as we hike through the Talala Trail.

Notice: Park Headquarters will be closed at the time of our hike- we highly encourage participants to purchase their day pass online ahead of time. 

When: Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 7:00am to 8:30am
Where: Penn Farm Parking Lot
Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.
Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!
Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a Texas State Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
