Birding with a Ranger

Use binoculars to spot all kinds of birds feeding in our Bird Sanctuary!

Program Expectations: We feed the birds at 8:30 every morning! You will sit or stand at our Bird Sanctuary and use our provided binoculars to watch birds. Optional: journal, draw or create a list of these species.

When: 8:15 am - 9:15 am

Where: Bird Sanctuary in the water/electric loop

What to bring: 

  • Jacket 
  • Water
  • Hat/Sunglasses
  • Binoculars/camera (We provide limited binoculars!)

 

Accessibility: Parking will be outside of the bird blind. Restroom is across the road. The path to the benches at the blind is rock, gravel and grass. Participants will need to cross a few feet of terrain that may be less than ideal for wheelchairs.

This program is included in park entry fees. Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on this website, or you can call park headquarters.
