From The Ground Up: Daingerfield State Park & the CCC

Did you know... we're old?! Come learn about the beginnings for Daingerfield State Park and many of our sister parks.

Explore with us the CCC and all it did for the parks, from the bottom of our lakes to the tops of our trees.  Join us while we create a picture of what life was like in 1936 for the people who would lay the first bricks of what would eventually be our beautiful state park.  Meet the young men in our companies and learn about the men behind the idea.  Understand some of the steps it took to become part of the workforce that was the CCC, talk with a ranger about the fight to keep the CCC alive, and get an answer to some of your random questions.

Meet at the Historic Pavilion at 10:00am to adventure through time with us.  We'll see you then!

Entrance Fees: $4.00 per adult (age 13+);  Children 12 years and younger are free.
