September is Suicide Prevention Month! Come join us at Daingerfield State Park and other Texas State Parks while we bring awareness for our veterans, service members, families, and friends.
You can wear 17lbs in your ruck while hiking to represent the 17 veterans we lose to suicide each day, show up and support your loved ones, or just come out to support a good cause!
The ruck march/hike will start by the swim area and follow a portion of the Rustling Leaves Trail. The trail will be marked and maps provided.
You can get more information about veteran suicide prevention at https://veteransmentalhealth.texas.gov/suicide-prevention/.
Entrance Fees: $4.00 per adult (age 13+); Children 12 years and younger are free.
Check out our Facebook page or park calendar for pictures and upcoming events in the park.
Additional hikes will be held throughout September at Cleburne State Park, Abilene State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, McKinney Falls State Park, Franklin Mountains State Park, Estero Llano Grande State Park, Seminole Canyon State Park, San Angelo State Park, and Garner State Park.
