Are bats your favorite October animal? Come learn all about bats in the Big Bend region from a local TPWD biologist who studies them.
Ever seen a critter darting through the sky around dusk? Chances are it was a bat out hunting for insects. These flying mammals play in important role in our ecosystem. Join TPWD biologist, Krysta Demere, as she shares secrets she has learned through years of research.
Following her talk, we'll watch a couple of short, TPWD-produced videos highlighting various critters.
Meet: at Amphitheater (parking available). Wooden bench seating provided. Bring cushion, if needed.
Cost: Free for campers or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
