Birding For Beginners
Fri, February 20, 2026
Come learn some basic tips as you dip your toe into the wonderful world of birding.
The Davis Mountains are a well-known destination for birds and the humans that love them. Our sky island oasis offers food, water, and shelter in the middle of the Chihuahuan Desert. Birding is a great way to closely observe nature. Through watching birds we begin to notice the habitats they prefer and their essentials for survival. We'll cover the basics of bird identification, birding apps, and spend time walking around the park looking for winged wonders. All ages & levels are welcome.
