Cold Moon Hike

Enjoy the full Cold moon rise from atop Skyline Drive.

Full moons are special anywhere, but they are especially beautiful seen from Skyline Drive. Join us on this moderate hike along Skyline Drive Trail out to Keesey Canyon Overlook. Along the way, we'll share interesting stories and moon lore. We will walk a distance @ 1 mile. Please keep in mind the terrain here is rocky and uneven. 

Meet: Scenic Overlook (1st turn off on Skyline Drive)

Bring: sturdy shoes, water, binoculars, camera, hiking poles (if needed)

Cost: free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
