Desert Blooms Hike

Come see and learn about the plants popping out with springtime color here in the Chihuahuan Desert.

Mornings are still cool here in the Davis Mountains. Come enjoy an easy hike along the Headquarters Trail as we observe springtime blooms here in the desert. Along the way, we'll spot Claret-cup and Texas Hedgehog cactus, Torrey yuccas, and Century plants. 

Meet: at the Front Office

Bring: walking shoes, water, hat, sunscreen

Cost: free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass.
