Wolf Moon Hike

Enjoy January's "Wolf" moon rise on its fullest night during a hike along Skyline Drive Trail.

Full moons are special anywhere, but they are especially beautiful seen from Skyline Drive here at DMSP. Come join us on this fairly easy hike along Skyline Drive Trail. Along the way, we'll share interesting stories and moon lore. We will walk a distance @ 1 mile. Please keep in mind the terrain here is rocky and uneven. 

Meet: at the CCC Rock Lookout (far end of Skyline Drive)

Bring: sturdy shoes, water, binoculars, camera, hiking poles (if needed)

Cost: free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
